About A1 Motor Services in Stonehouse, near Stroud

Founded in 2013, A1 Motor Services was set up to provide motorists in Stonehouse, near Stroud, and areas as far afield as Tetbury, with a genuine alternative to the main dealers.

We are an independent garage with a wealth of expertise, particularly on VW Group vehicles (Audi, VW, SEAT & Skoda). Our owner, Jamie Shaw, trained and qualified through the Audi Academy to become a Master Technician and his outstanding training and qualifications meant he was appointed Workshop Manager and Audi R8 Specialist of the official dealership, now known as Tetbury Audi.

Jamie’s continued training in many other disciplines meant his next obvious step was to set up A1 Motor Services, invest heavily in specialist equipment, and then recruit a highly skilled team of technicians. This unique combination enabled us to offer Audi, VW, SEAT, and Skoda owners a comprehensive range of top-level maintenance, repairs and servicing.

Over the years A1 Motor Services has built a reputation for providing first-class customer service and exceptionally high standards of workmanship. We also do MOT, servicing and repair work for a wider range of marques, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Mazda, as well as the VAG quartet. The philosophy of providing main dealer quality at significantly lower prices, along with exceptional customer service, still holds true today. In fact, we are proud to say we treat all our customers’ cars like they are our own. Additionally, we are a Servicesure Autocentre, and as such all our work is covered by the Servicesure National Warranty.

The A1 Motor Services workshop itself is conveniently located on the Ryeford Industrial Estate in Stonehouse, near Stroud, on the A419, near the Bristol Road roundabout. Stonehouse rail station is within walking distance and we are a stone’s throw from Stroud Cricket Club. We have on-site parking and a comfortable waiting area, providing refreshments, a WC, and free Wi-Fi for our patrons.
