At A1 Motor Services, we’re delighted to offer walnut shell blasting at our workshop in Stonehouse, near Stroud.

Our specialist equipment will remove the sooty carbon deposits from the inside of your car’s engine using the technique of blasting walnut shells on the intake ports, and the backs of the inlet valves, common places where carbon accumulates.

There are a couple of things that you can do to keep carbon build-up to a minimum:

1. Have your car serviced regularly at A1 Motor Services.
2. Now and again, drive your car in the higher rev regions (don’t go crazy!) so that the engine reaches the required high temperatures to burn out the soot.
